Osama Bin Laden, RIH (Rot In Hell)
Meh.
Don't get me wrong, I'm glad the bastard is dead. But after 10 years, it's almost anticlimatic.
Bush and Cheney should get the lion's share of the credit for this, but they won't.
In the meantime our country is still facing financial Armageddon, we're still involved in 3 wars, and gas is still going to hit $5 this summer.

Egypt
In case you've been hiding under a rock for the past week you know it's getting ugly in Egypt. What do you think will happen if the Muslim Brotherhood gains control?

Hear, Hear!
“We must reject the idea that every time a law’s broken, society is guilty rather than the lawbreaker. It is time to restore the American precept that each individual is accountable for his actions.” - Ronald Reagan
Tucson
With all the accusations being leveled a Sarah Palin, I feel it’s necessary to remind some people about some facts. Have you forgotten the violent rhetoric of the past 8 years?
Facebook groups calling for the murder of George Bush, Dick Cheney, and Sarah Palin. Slogans such as “Kill Bush” and “Abort Sarah Palin”. A movie called “Death of a President” depicting the assassination of a sitting President, George Bush. Celebrities such as Gore Vidal lamenting that he didn’t murder Bush. Madonna screaming on stage that she wants to ”kick Sarah Palin’s a--” and Sandra Bernhard on stage hoping that Sarah Palin gets gang-raped. And I can’t even begin to list the disgusting and graphic protest signs, posters and internet games produced during Bush’s presidency.
All of these things were glossed over or made light of by the media. When conservatives were appalled and called for apologies we were told to “lighten up” and “it’s Free Speech”.
Now, all of the sudden, it’s the Right that is responsible for all the violent rhetoric? Now the Left is trying to blame Glen Beck, Rush Limbaugh, and Sarah Palin.
The shooting in Tucson is a tragedy, but the only one responsible is Jared Loughner

235 Years Ago: The Shot Heard Round the World
By the rude bridge that arched the flood,
Their flag to April’s breeze unfurled,
Here once the embattled farmers stood,
And fired the shot heard round the world.
The foe long since in silence slept;
Alike the conqueror silent sleeps;
And Time the ruined bridge has swept
Down the dark stream which seaward creeps.
On this green bank, by this soft stream,
We set to-day a votive stone;
That memory may their deed redeem,
When, like our sires, our sons are gone.
Spirit, that made those heroes dare,
To die, and leave their children free,
Bid Time and Nature gently spare
The shaft we raise to them and thee.
The Complete Works of Ralph Waldo Emerson

Old North Bridge, site of “the shot heard ’round the world,” the original one.
British troops retreated 22 miles from here to Boston while getting shot at along what’s now known as Battle Road. Written on a monument:
HERE
On the 19 of April
1775
was made
the first forcible resistance
to British aggression
On the opposite Bank
stood the American Militia
Here stood the Invading Army
and on this spot
the first of the Enemy fell
in the War of that Revolution
which gave
Independence to these United States
In gratitude to GOD
and
In the love of Freedom
this Monument
was erected
AD 1836

No This Is Not An April Fool's Joke!
Take note at around the 1:20 mark he says he's afraid Guam is going to tip over and sink! Remember, these people are in charge of our health care! (And pretty much everything else soon)
Now he's saying that he was speaking metaphorically about enviromental issues on the island.................uh huh.
I doubt it, it seems obvious that he really thinks the island could tip over and sink!
Besides, I don't know what he's worried about. The last time that many Marines landed on Guam, it was this way:
