Once hailed as a beacon of rebirth in the aftermath of Sept. 11, the Freedom Tower has been stripped of its patriotic name -- which has been swapped out for the more marketable "One World Trade Center," Port Authority officials conceded yesterday.

"We will build it in honor of the memories of the heroes we lost," Pataki said at the unveiling ceremony at historic Federal Hall, just blocks from Ground Zero. "We will build it to show the world that freedom will always triumph over terror and that we will face the 21st century and beyond with tremendous confidence."
Well, I guess that's out the window. Down the toilet.

To the 2974 innocent victims, the 37 Port Authority Police, the 23 NYPD and the 343 Firefighters that were murdered that day.
They have already forgotten their murders, their sacrifice. And pissed on their graves.
